Virtual Convention 2020
Respectfully submitted by Brad French, Convention Chair
To say things have changed would be a monstrous understatement. I must say that we had an incredible experience lined up for you in Kingston this year, but no one on my convention committee planned for a pandemic!
When given lemons, the best thing to do is to make lemonade. I am super excited to announce that this years CAM-X convention will be our industries first virtual convention. While we are still working out the details, we will be holding our virtual convention over two days (October 1st, and 2nd) with 3 to 4 hours of programming per day. As we are all new to this, we will be careful of time zones to ensure people do not have to get up too early or stay up too late!
The price point is also going to make it more attractive for companies to send many team members at a fraction of the cost, considering there will be no hotels, food or travel costs and a reduced convention price.
We are finalizing our agenda, but sessions will include:
Motivating a remote workforce
Operator bonus plans, driving results
Sales and marketing
AI and practical uses in the answering service environment
Award of Excellence and awards presentations
I would like to thank my convention committee that have really stepped up to plan two conventions in one year! Thank you Desiree Bombenon, Gary Blair, Gary Pudles, Steve Newall, Cindy Roma, Dana Lloyd and of course Linda Osip.
I look forward to seeing you all in October, even if it is virtual!
Five People: $295.00
Ten People: $495.00
The 2019 CAM-X Convention in Edmonton Was a Great Success!
As another successful annual convention of CAM-X has passed, we have the chance to look back on some fond memories!
Keynote Speaker Carrie Doll
The Power of Storytelling
Carrie shared with us the power of storytelling by telling us stories. Her many years of experience has given her a wisdom in communication that she generously shares with her audience.
We will all be taking some of the lessons learned from this session back to our businesses to improve the way we communicate with the people in our lives.
We would like to once again extend our gratitude to Carrie Doll for a fantastic presentation!
The Future of New Contact Centre Technologies
Panelists: Ashif Mawji, Trent Johnsen & Corry Janssen
We had the opportunity to hear from three of the top tech experts in Canada about the leading edge of contact centre technology.
They shared with us the new opportunities arising from the adoption of new technologies, the efficiencies that can be found by implementing artificial intelligence and machine learning, as well as a forecast of coming trends that will affect our industry.
Gary Pudles moderated this very informative panel discussion.
