Grimsby, ON, October 30, 2017 – Congratulations goes out to Cindy Roma, Co-CEO of Telelink Call Centre for winning the Barbara Bradbury Pay It Forward Mentoring Award.   This National Award and prestigious honour was accepted at the 53rd Annual CAM-X Convention and Trade Show held recently at the Marriott Hotel, Vancouver, BC.

This award is in recognition of a leader within our industry who has made an incredible difference in the lives of others by supporting and encouraging others to develop new skills and maximize their potential.

Speaking about the creation of the Award in 2013, CAM-X member Gary Blair says,  “If ever there was a person who emulated the embodiment of the definition of mentor, it is my friend and colleague Barbara Bradbury.  When she announced that she would be retiring and moving into the next phase of her professional and personal life, I thought it imperative for an industry who has benefitted so much from having had her within our ranks over such a long while to ensure the continuation of what she created; an incredible, industry-wide focus on the importance of mentoring the next generation(s) of agents, supervisors, managers and … owners.  Such generosity of spirit, knowledge and business acumen and an unlimited willingness to share it could only be properly honoured by the creation of the Barbara Bradbury Pay It Forward Mentoring Award.  This award was created to honour those individuals following in Barbara’s footsteps.”

Upon receiving the award, Cindy says, “I would like to express my sincere thanks to CAM-X  for recognizing my mentoring efforts with the Barbara Bradbury Pay It Forward Mentoring Award. Early in my career I was fortunate enough to have had two amazing mentors. They taught me many things, but most importantly they taught me the enormous impact you can make by simply taking the time to listen and coach people along. They taught me to see people’s strengths first and build their confidence. Once there is trust and confidence, the sky is the limit.

I would especially like to thank my business partner, Sydney Ryan, as well as Cindy King and Laurie Hogan who understood how much an award like this would mean to me and took the time to nominate me. You inspire me and mentor me every day.

Our Industry Association was founded on the principals of sharing and lifting one another up. The Barbara Bradbury Pay It Forward Mentoring Award is as important to our industry’s success as it is to me and inspires me to continue the tradition every day.”
